Birthday Card With Funny Birds

Hello Bloggers,

A birthday card today.

I made it for my daughter with the paper that she had seen before and found the birds so funny. Aren't they adorable? :)
I tried to keep as much of the bird paper visible as possible. Thus the thin frame and the random thin strip. But I could not help myself - the corner is full of flowers :)
The big roses are punched, the other flowers are roll-ups from different brands.

The Happy Birthday sentiment has actually 2 layers - the dark green under the orange is offset a bit to create some tiny thin outline.

Oh yes, almost forgot - the edges are punched with the Martha Stewart Cherish punch. I folded the card stock and then punched through 2 layers. Martha Stewart punches are among those few who can do that and stay alive. :)

Bright Red Birthday Card with MD Tassels

Hello Bloggers,

Today's card is in really bright colors.

I don't know... I found this red patterned paper in my stash the other day and I just loved it. Again obviously, because the first time I liked it was when I bought it. :)
The tassels are hanging on paper "threads". I had tried real threads of several kinds, but somehow all of them looked awkward here. So I just used my trusted guillotine to produce a thin strip of paper, added some beads and voilà.
