Snow Globe Christmas Card

Hello Bloggers,

Over a month ago I saw these two different things in two different shops: the Yvonne Creations Cozy Christmas embossing folder and the Precious Marieke Spirit of Christmas Snowflake Circle. Somehow, in my instantly inspired imagination they were immediately "glued" to each other. :)

It's only now that I've eventually managed to make a card with them both together:
I like the way this embossing folder creates a whole Christmas village in one go. :)

With lots of different "snows" and gems on it:

Happy New Year Card

Hello Bloggers,

A Happy New Year card today. You can see the tiny 2017 at the top right corner. :)
The sentiment is experimental :) I stencil-gesso'ed it and then sprayed some golden glitter over it. Surprisingly, it held and even produced some extra volume to the letters:
Here is a closer look at the top of the card with all its layers:

Christmas Card with Mirri Window

Hello Bloggers,

A Christmas card today. Naturally :)

With one of my favorite dies - the very old Marianne Design Creatables Lr 0253 Open Book. Used as one piece or cut down into layers, it always turns out good. The Dutch text on the patterned paper reads "Happy New Year" and "Happy Holidays".

The background paper with a wreath comes from Action (a totally cheap chain store in Holland). I did not expect to find anything like that there, but... there we are. It's not worse than some expensive stuff :)

I like the effect the silver mirri board creates as the window. It picks up the light nicely and makes the whole scene more vivid. I think :)
Here is a closer look at the detail:

Used:
  • Marianne Design Creatables Lr 0253 Open Book

Snow or brown leaves? Christmas Card.

Hello Bloggers,

A Christmas card today. Lots of Christmans challenges are up right now offering us tons of inspiration from their design teams.

For me, all my inspiration, as usual, ended up in a pile on one card :)

This is sort of a "wish vs. reality" card - the snowflakes are the wish, but in reality, so far, we have brown leaves covering the ground. It's still a month to go, though. The weather may surprise us :)
I know, this is a weird angle, but it kind of offers more view on the details:
